Job Description

Department Description

Network Rail is at the heart of revitalising Britain’s railways. Over the next five years, we intend to invest £34.6 billion on improving and developing the rail network. From multi-million pound schemes, such as the rejuvenation of King’s Cross station and the upgrade and expansion of Thameslink, to Europe’s largest civil engineering project - Crossrail, we are involved in some of the most ambitious and diverse ventures the UK has ever seen. Working with us you’ll benefit from state-of-the-art training and a second-to-none support network, all in a company with an annual turnover that equals those within the top 5 of the FTSE 100.

The Infrastructure Services Department supports the Delivery Unit by supplying material, plant, systems and planning support. The role of the department is to maintain and control the plans for the DU and administer the delivery of key resources to ensure Maintenance and Capital Expenditure works can be delivered efficiently and cost effectively.

Brief Vacancy Description

The role of the Work Plan Co-Coordinator is to manage the Delivery Unit plans from inception to delivery by integrating the needs of all engineering functions and co-ordinating with the other support functions to provide a deliverable, efficient and robust plan. A pro-active approach and an ability to maintain positive working relationships with Engineers, Section Managers and the other members of the ISM Team is critical.

Detailed External Job Description

Identify and request critical access and resource requirements for items included in the annual and quarterly plans.
