We are currently recruiting for our Passengers Division at our sites in Germany: Aachen, Goerlitz & Hennigsdorf and UK: Derby: Vehicle Architects Railway (m/w) Main tasks: •The position of Vehicle Architect is a management role supervising a broad team of railway engineers in an international surrounding •The position holder will govern all specifications and concept design of the product, integrating all relevant functions and teams •He/ she will be required to lead all necessary tasks in the architecture phase of the product, give technical input on strategic decisions for new developments and regularly report on the progress to site and even division management •The position will furthermore require sound experience in people management for a direct team as well as for the coordination of various other functions Qualifications For this demanding management position with high amount of responsibility on daily basis we are looking for : •A highly qualified engineer having numerous years of experience in the railway sector, by which the person gained a comprehensive knowledge on all parts and technical elements of a train •Degree in electrical engineering •Knowledge of vehicle systems engineering within the scope of responsibilities •Engineering team management experience •The successful candidate would convince by both his technical eloquence as well as by his management seniority, visionary thinking and strong sense for delivering first class products for the number one train producer in the world. •Very good German and English knowledge in speech and writing •Independent, systematic, objective and cost and quality-conscious work ethics •Highly motivated, self-initiative, flexibility and teamwork capabilities, very good communication skills
