Job Description The continued development of this multi-national engineering consultancy gives a unique opportunity to develop a career on a high profile infrastructure project. The principal function of this position is to undertake project work involving all elements of tunnelling issues, either working as the expert within that field as part of a multi-disciplinary team, or as a sole consultant providing high quality advice to clients. You will require ; - A range of technical and managerial capabilities with in-depth knowledge in either bored tunnel design, cut & cover design, stations and shafts in soft ground or rock conditions - An understanding of different construction methods and effects on design. Structural design of RC and steel sections - Be able to produce Risk Assessments and Specifications - Excellent inter-personal and negotiation skills are essential, with the ability to understand and present others points of view -Be an innovative engineer looking to develop technical and management skills and willing to tackle any challenge The ideal candidate should possess a chartered engineer with BEng/ MEng honours degree in civil engineering or equivalent and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge.
