We are looking for a Train Systems Technician for our Neasden, Ealing Common & Upminster Depots.

Your Role

Supporting the successful introduction of S Stock to the Sub Surface Line Depots. Initially responsible for the maintenance support to the pre-series trains. Provide technical support to the fleet by training and coaching the Customers trainers and maintenance staff, provide advanced fault diagnosis, assist the BT performance team with the reliability improvement initiatives and auditing of the Customer on their training and maintenance deliverables to ensure they are delivered to the required standard.

Your Challenges
Fault finding of new series trains. This will include fault reporting to the customer, and carrying out of planned maintenance for 2 pre-series trains during test and passenger service operation.
Working with the Product Introduction team to develop skills and system specific knowledge for the new trains. Support commisioning, data download, special check, verification of VMI/VMPs, warranty and reliability growth activities; carry out planned maintenance for 2 pre-series trains.
Preparation of training material on systems functionality, planned maintenance and fault finding to provide annual training to the customer.
Deliver maintenance training and coaching to depot staff both in the classroom and on-the-job, to enable them to maintain the trains to vehicle maintenance instructions and procedures
Assess the competence of staff carrying out maintenance to Bombardier standards. Assist the line manager to prepare individual training and development programmes to improve competence levels.


Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications
HNC (or equivalent) in Electronics/Systems engineering
D32 Assessor or equivalent
Good IT user skills - Microsoft Office, databases, web based information systems
Ability to work shifts - 24 hours, 7 days
