Job Description
My client is working on Crossrail. They need a Traction Power Engineer to join them for 6 months initially at 450/day. The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering development of allocated Electrical Power proposals from clarification of remit to project completion developing the engineering solutions to proposals to best satisfy the business case. The successful candidate will ensure that the allocated proposals are developed in accordance with industry standards and are compliant with safety, environmental and other objectives. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the design process across the Electrical Power disciplines. The successful candidate will have significant design experience in one of the main Electrical Power disciplines, nominally either overhead line or line-side power. As a Senior Project Engineer the successful candidate will undertake Designated Project Engineer duties, Line Management of Project Engineers and Assistant Project Engineers duties as required. The successful candidate will monitor whether suitably qualified and experienced staff are employed to control engineering aspects of all projects within the functional discipline. This is an extremely interesting opportunity for an engineer looking for a challenge. Essential • Significant Electrical Power experience, ideally with both design and construction experience. • An engineering degree or equivalent industry-recognised qualification. • A detailed knowledge of Electrical Power engineering; relevant successful experience working on Electrical Power projects and an adequate understanding of all other related disciplines. • Detailed knowledge and understanding of industry standards relating Electrical Power. • An ability to work and communicate effectively in a team context and with external partners.
