Finance Shared Services is responsible for all transaction processing that supports the financial and business activities of the company. The National Accounting team manages the integrity of Company Financial Data Records. They are responsible for delivering internal and external financial returns on a company wide basis, processing of expenses and payment of suppliers. They also help to implement and integrate accounting improvements and practices on a national basis to support the delivery of Network Rails goals. The business information team manage the development of report solutions to meet management information needs of front line Finance and other business functions on a national basis. Brief Vacancy Description You will manage the development of report solutions to meet management information needs and lead the development, delivery and maintenance of strategic business tools to support enhancements in reporting capability. Detailed External Job Description Along with our commitment to our customers, our focus on financial analysis is key to Network Rail’s Finance Shared Services team achieving World Class status and will be imperative to our future success. We’re looking for a Support Manager to lead a team responsible for the development, delivery and maintenance of strategic business tools to support enhancement in financial reporting capability at all levels of Network Rail’s business. You’ll be a strong communicator, capable of influencing at the highest level particularly centring on educating senior managers on the importance of financial intelligence. You will be degree qualified, have a wealth of experience in financial analysis, be able to lead the development of financial dashboards, reports and portals, and have extensive systems knowledge – Oracle, Hyperian, OFA and ERP. A salary of circa £50k, an excellent benefits package including a performance related annual bonus will be offered in return, along with the opportunity to help mould the continued evolution of an already world class Finance Shared Services function.
