Job Description
Responsibilities:

- Complex setting out & setting out control to spec.
- Coaches younger members of the engineering team regarding best practice.
- Produces Activity Control Plans
- Manages and maintaines all QA material.
- Identifies Technical Queries and offers solutions
- Produces Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Prepares and raises Temporary Works Briefs
- Produces a weekly programme and communicates to the Foreman/Engineering team.
- Understands Permit System and raises permits to Work
- Understands Programme
- Good understanding of contract information
- Experience in working with ECC Forms of Contract is essential.
- Capable of proactively managing structures teams to management systems within a design and build environment
- Working knowledge of SHW essential

MUST HAVE:

- ENGINEERING BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE HIGHWAYS SECTOR.
- Previous experience as Agent with a main Civil Engineering contractor on projects up to £10m
- Qualified to DEGREE LEVEL / HND within Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience of Design & Build projects & ECC Forms of Contract.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred and it is envisaged that this will have been gained, at least in part, with a Major Contractor.
- Experience of £10m + Highway Schemes.
- Extensive experience in working on civil engineering projects in a similar role, specifically Highways, Rail and Bridges.
