Job Description
Description: PB is looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer in the Tempe, Arizona office. Under the direction of the group leader, this individual will provide professional and project management expertise for highly involved projects requiring multiple units and extremely complex technical traffic engineering tasks. He/She will also function as mentor to junior engineers and assist in their development as Traffic Engineers. Also performs the basic project functions of plan production, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management and marketing. Other duties for this position may include: * Developing and maintaining client relationships including preparing and presenting proposals * Monitors and reports financial status of projects to project managers * Supervises other technical professionals and other design staff including managing weekly project workload and personnel forecasting * Establishing and monitoring internal budgets and project schedules * Conducts training workshops to junior staff * Administering construction phase engineering services, as needed * Efficiently developing complete and accurate project documents on time and within the budget * Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary Requirements: MS degree with a concentration in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Systems or Communications Engineering. Current professional engineering registration in Arizona with 12 – 15 years related experience. Excellent technical, managerial and communication skills are required. Other requirements include: * Large project experience. Rail experience is a plus * Design-build experience * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Large multi-modal, microscopic modeling experience
