Job Description
Tasks This temporary position assists the Senior Budget Analyst by performing financial analysis and budgeting activities related to the equipment capital budgets and facilities under ARRA (Stimulus Programs). • Develops monthly forecasts, performance reports, and ad hoc analyses that improve financial accountability and reporting. • Generates and analyzes results against key performance goals and operating ratios, as well as other data to assess financial performance. • Assists with development and implementation of the budget, monitors and tracks financial information. • Recommends and implements actions to ensure financial responsibility. Minimum Requirements: Requirements • Solid quantitative and analytical skills with a working knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and software. • Good oral and written communication skills. • Personal computer proficiency to include MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.) Preferred: • Demonstrated experience with Amtrak’s budgeting process. • Demonstrated experience and/or working knowledge of various Amtrak systems including FIS-, AAMPS, WEE, WMS, Fingate, eTrax, and Infoview.
