To support our development, we are looking for a:

SITE TEST SUPERVISOR
Reports to: Manager, Site Deployment


Responsible for the coordination of all site test activities during the test & commissioning phases of a project. During commissioning this job involves working on site for significant periods of time, typically from a few months to 1 ½ years depending on the size of the project.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Co-ordinates the planning and scheduling of testing field activities.
Provides technical support to Site Manager for all field test activities.
Attends site meetings with staff and sub-contractors (if required).
Prepares regular status and the progress reports on test activities for the Project Manager, Project Engineer and the Site Manager.
Ensures all test procedure documents are kept current to relevant revisions.
Ensures that "as-built" information is recorded as the work progresses and that this is submitted to Toronto for updating of documentation.
Co-ordinates the activities of technical specialists from Transport Automation who are on site to perform integration testing, trouble shooting and commissioning testing.
Performs T&C (PICO, Engineering Field Integration Test, Site Acceptance Test) activities as required.
Assists with training of customer operations and maintenance staff with respect to the train control system.
Responds to various customer correspondences, either directly or via the Project Manager.
Prepares SCRs and provides input for problem/action reports prepared by the Site Manager.
Advise Site Supervisor of site staffing level requirements.
Responsible for maintaining Field Test Results Status database


BASIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

B.Sc. Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
5 years relevant working experience.
Working knowledge of Alcatel Canada Inc. Transport Automation products with respect to installation support and testing.
Working knowledge of safety standards and practices required at project site.
Experience in installation and testing of train control systems.
PC literate and use of word processing, spread sheet and scheduling software packages.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of company Policies & Procedures.
