Job Description
Responsibilities:

- Contributes to the tender and pre qualification process
- Profitably able to run contracts up to £10m.
- Works within the company standards - business plan, HSQE, CSR, Procurement/Supply.
- Plan, programme, set up and run projects with support/guidance.
- Produce & monitor resource programmes and costings.
- Leading the planning process.
- Controlling and monitor forecast costs.
- Deliver profitability that exceeds normal tender margins wherever possible.
- Act as ambassador for the company with customers, suppliers, public, employees etc.
- Develop and sustain good working relationships with customers and employees that contribute to the success of the project and business
- Manages and evaluates risk and opportunity and act for the good of the company
- Represent the company on Contractual issues if required
- Is able to develop and support employees under their supervision
- Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the contract
- Represents the company in technical forums
- Experience in working with ECC Forms of Contract is essential.

MUST HAVE:

- ENGINEERING BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE HIGHWAYS SECTOR.
- Previous experience as Agent with a main Civil Engineering contractor on projects up to £10m
- Qualified to DEGREE LEVEL / HND within Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience of Design & Build projects & ECC Forms of Contract.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred and it is envisaged that this will have been gained, at least in part, with a Major Contractor.
- Experience of running £10m + Highway Schemes.
- Extensive experience in working on civil engineering projects in a similar role, specifically Highways, Rail and Bridges.
