Job Description
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Rail Signalling Design Checker based in the South East of London. Their role will be to support a design team with work steaming from the local London location and around the UK. Salary and Location Based in Surrey, ranging from £32,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience) Job Description The successful candidate will have to: • Produce designs , specifications, reports and working drawings to meet contract requirements within agreed timescales and performance parameters. • Be independent by checking signalling design documentation. • Assist with management and development of junior staff. • Implement the requirements of company business Management System, Core Assurance Case and Railway Safety Case. • Deal with engineering and contractual matters with professional integrity at all times. Required Experience For this role you are required to have: • Safety Critical Awareness • UK Signalling Principles Design Engineer skills including knowledge of relevant standards, design processes and procedures • Experience of signalling design checking • Experience using industry CAD packages • Extensive experience of UK heavy rail signalling design at both outline (NR GRIP 3 to 4 ) and detailed design (NR GRIP 5+) level • A IRSE Design Licence: 1.1.150D (Principle Designer) and 1.1.150A (Schemes Designer) and 1.1.160 (Signalling Design Verifier) • A degree/HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar Company Profile This company have an industry reputation synonymous with quality and are one of the market leaders.
