Seamless management and delivery of all aspects of the services that are required by the business, into operational use. 2. Lead the process so that the services can operate in foreseeable extreme or abnormal circumstances and that support for failure or errors is available. 3. Own and manage the overall change process, establishing formal policy and frameworks to support consistent implementation and minimise risk of required change. 4. Lead the process to map stakeholders and facilitate their engagement, making certain appropriate relationships are built and sustained in relation to service transition. 5. Define and deploy effective transition and support strategies, including a framework for knowledge sharing/transfer, to underpin efficient services and to make certain relevant knowledge is consistently available, thus minimising failure or disruption of services. 6. Optimise the cost, risk and speed of delivering change by owning and developing effective release and deployment strategies for new or changes services. 7. Develop and maintain a quality, end to end, testing service for IM, including adherence to test standards. 8. Meet all SLAs and undertake continuous improvement of the processes and services within remit. Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications Essential · Extensive knowledge of Service Transition Management especially Service Utilities & Warranties, Release & Deployment, Change Management and Testing . · Experience of operating at a managerial level in a Service Management environment. · Excellent people skills and management practices with the ability to motivate others through own enthusiasm. · Commercial and political acumen. · Influential communicator with excellent persuasion and negotiation skills. · Proven track record of achieving outstanding results within service delivery Desirable · ITIL Manager Qualification · ITIL Practitioner Qualification · Knowledge of the existence and function of all major applications in use across Network Rail. · Knowledge of ICT infrastructure in use across Network Rail Leadership Capability The following key Leadership capabilities are expected to be demonstrated at Role Model level: · Tracking Performance · Building Teams The following key Leadership capabilities are expected to be demonstrated at Good/Adds Value Level level: · Thinking Flexibly · Influencing others · Putting The customer First · Communicating Clearly
