Job Description : Position Summary The Senior CAD Operator will provide assistance to URS North Sydney office’s drafting team through process improvement implementation and coaching of CAD staff on drafting and design drafting skills. The Senior CAD Operator will also assist in managing a team of drafting staff to provide a specialised drafting service for the implementation of all civil and structural works for major engineering projects (Roads; Mining and Water Projects) and Environmental Services for the North Sydney office. Responsibilities / Objectives • Implement process improvements within the URS North Sydney office in particular the CAD standard; • Mentor and coach drafting staff on drafting and design drafting; • Undertake CAD drafting work associated with road, railroad, traffic and transport; mining and water infrastructure; • Coordinate and liaise with the designers and project managers; • Assist with preparation of design tenders and proposals if required; • Participate in workgroup technical activities; • Support project teams in achieving stated goals; • Checking of the team’s productivity by the review of drawings to ensure compliance with the relevant codes, standards, Quality Assurance requirements and URS drafting practices • Attention to accurate detailed designs and commitment to quality; • Enforce the implementation of quality and design management systems all through the projects; • Commitment to delivery of projects documentation on time is essential;
