Job Description

Rail Plant Sales Manager sought for an expanding contracting business operating across maintenance, construction and rail vertical markets.

Based from home most of the work involved with this position will be South of Birmingham.

Job Specification:

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
-Identify, target and develop existing and potential customers which will assist the organisation in achieving its business objectives by developing business relationships and following up on and converting new business leads.
-To record all communications, manage, control and maintain business critical information, e.g. potential clients, competitors and employees on the approved company database
-Gain full understanding of the customers business, their markets, sectors and activities
- Meet with new and existing client contacts to probe, understand and act upon their needs
-Work with operational management to deliver exceptional customer service
- Present detailed proposals to realize incremental and new business opportunities

Candidates Requirements:

-Previous sales experience in a rail environment
- alternatively, experience of project delivery in an engineering environment

Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
Ability to organise and prioritise workload
Ability to sell a value proposition
Ability to work under pressure
High degree of accuracy and attention to details
Good problem solving and decision making skills
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers and clients

A high level of flexibility and a positive attitude to innovation and change
A high level of awareness of the market within which the business operates

You will need to have previous experience in a sales capacity preferably within the rail sector. It would also be beneficial if you could demonstrate what you have achieved previously and can go through the numbers involved and how you got to them.
