Job Description
A role has arisen for an experienced planning engineer to carry out project planning responsibilities. You will need to take a proactive approach in assisting in the development of multimillion pound projects. Role Description The role requires you to • Assist to develop and maintain fully based line, resource loaded and logic linked project programmes in accordance with the project planning and project management processes. • Arrange programmes which should contain agreed activities, deliverables, milestones, and client deliverables and should be based on the work breakdown structure. • Work with the project managers and project team to ensure project programmes are maintained • Provide periodical reports on project status and progress • Highlight problem areas and issues and suggest appropriate action • Initiate and maintain close liaison with all members of the project team. • Work with a variety of teams and sub contractors to develop and maintain detailed plans Required Experience For this role you will be required to have • A minimum of 3 years experience of project planning within a rail environment • PC literate with experience of using Windows packages • A self motivated attitude with good interpersonal skills coupled with an assertive style of behaviour. • Good attention to detail and good time management Employer Profile The company you will be working for is one of the largest signalling companies in the UK.
