Job Description
Rail Project Manager, Operational / SISS Communications - London or Midlands £48k to £68k + benefits Working for a leading supplier within the UK rail infrastructure, we require Communications Rail Project Managers for projects on Network Rail infrastructures (or LU). Ideally you will have experience working for one of the rail contractors. Two roles, one based in London or the other from the Midlands. Rail operational comms experience is mandatory. Your experience must be as a skilled and experienced Project Manager within rail operational communications projects and include some of: - Project planning - Risk - Sub-contractor / team management - Operational communications for railway - Budgeting / Finance / P&L / Manage cost of project - Customer delivery - Stakeholder management - Customer interaction / management / development - Contract review (ICHEME, MF1, NEC, JCT, etc.) - Contractual deliverables (e.g. O&M manuals, final accounts, retention cert., claims outstanding, working system, etc.) - Commercially aware - Construction Design Management (CDM) - Health and Safety plans, risk registers, quality plans, environmental plans - Formal project methodology ideally (APM, Prince2, PMI, etc.) - Primavera P3 or P6 understanding ideally - Direct and be able to create a programme (S curves, cost loading, etc.) - Ideally HND or BEng qualified Experience in the delivery of one or more of these technologies (railway operational comms): - Station upgrades - Fibre - FTN - Transmission - Trackside telephony - Concentrator upgrades - CCTV, PA, SCADA, GSM-R, etc. - SISS, CIS, Operational comms Rail Project Manager, Operational / SISS Communications - London or Midlands
