Job Description
Department Description Electrification & Plant - CTRL Brief Vacancy Description Provide company engineering expertise on CTRL Rail Plant owned, managed, hired, or controlled by Network Rail (CTRL) or operated under contract to Network Rail (CTRL). Provide support to other areas of Electrification and Plant engineering as necessary. Detailed External Job Description The Key Accountabilities of the role are as follows; · Provide engineering expertise in the acquisition, maintenance and renewal of rail plant owned, managed, hired, or controlled by Network Rail (CTRL) or operated under contract to Network Rail (CTRL). · Provide engineering support to other areas of Electrification and Plant Engineering. · Produce new or amended documents and related asset information as necessary to support the achievement of Network Rail (CTRL) goals. · Monitor the availability, reliability and other performance statistics for Network Rail (CTRL) owned rail plant and recommend modifications to improve performance, reliability or capability. · Carry out investigations into rail plant issues and incidents, and make appropriate recommendations. · Support the provision of rail plant engineering input to specific projects to check that all rail plant engineering work complies with Network Rail (CTRL) requirements. · Support the development of prioritised rail plant engineering renewals work-banks and maintenance regimes. · Review specifications and designs for new or modified Rail Plant to be used on Network Rail (CTRL) controlled infrastructure. · Co-ordinate the approvals process to allow Rail Plant to operate on Network Rail (CTRL) controlled Infrastructure. · Co-ordinate technical approvals to allow 3rd party vehicles to operate on Network Rail (CTRL) controlled Infrastructure.
