For further information on Bombardier please visit our website. We are looking for a Proposal Manager for our Maltsters - Burton site. You will be responsible for the creation and on-time delivery of high quality proposals, which supports Bombardiers efforts in winning good business. This role coordinates the team responsible for creating inputs for proposals and pre-qualification responses. You will also be responsible for writing new material which showcases Bombardiers abilities and experiences. You will develop the strategy for proposals in conjunction with sales and bids personnel through the use of storyboarding techniques. At times you would be expected to present our proposals to the customer. The commercial value of proposals managed and created ranges between £2m-£2b. Your Challenges Understanding the requirements of the customer, normally stated within the ITT, and developing the most appropriate strategy and proposal structure to respond to these requirements, including generation of appropriate storyboards. Undertake all planning activities and lead all personnel involved in the creation of proposal material, and ensure that they deliver their contributions to a high level of quality and in a timely manner. Write new material to a high level of quality and deliver it in a timely manner. Co-ordinate the production of the proposal, including defining / designing the look and feel of the proposal. Catalogue all old proposals within the knowledge repository and actively investigate process improvements in order to increase efficiency. Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications Proposal management is a particularly pressurised environment due to a combination of the immovable timescales and the consequences of success or failure. Subsequently this role requires a person who is both a very effective project manager and a resilient character. To enable them to lead the proposal team members the role also requires strong influencing and communication skills. You are a self-starter and have strong communication and negotiation skills?
