Brief Vacancy Description

Using your expertise in project planning you will work closely with programme and project managers by developing a project work breakdown structure so projects can be monitored efficiently and professionally.

The ideal candidate would be an expert P3e planner with extensive experience. They will ideally have the following skills

Excellent Planning knowledge.

Be able to roll out planning processes and procedures to a team of planners. This should include a firm understanding of EVA and UOM principles and analysis.
An enthusiastic personality with the ability to work without supervision. A motivator who can guide the project team to follow NetworkRail standards.
Be a strong, determined character able to influence others and be able to deliver to both tight timescales and the relevant high standards.
The candidate should have good communication skills and be both literate and numerate as they will be required to influence internal /external staff and contractors through site visits, documentation review and periodic meetings. They will work within the S & E programme controls team based in London or at the relevant Sites to support a number of new developing projects.

Detailed External Job Description

As an experienced Project Planner you will be responsible for monitoring programmes and regular updates for a large portfolio of complex work projects. You will have a detailed knowledge of Primavera P3e and an understanding of the wider Project Management Framework.

A strong knowledge of earned value management and milestone and KPI reporting will also help you to keep control of the variety of projects, ensuring that they are delivered to the high standard expected.

It’s not necessary for you to have rail industry experience. In fact, what will set you apart is your motivation and natural flair for dealing with people at all levels.

Do you have….?

· Extensive experience in working with P3e?
· Experience in management, planning or delivery of major construction and engineering projects?
· A working knowledge of investment programme and project controls processes and systems?
· Able to manage data in a proficient and competent manner?
