Job Description Due to the awarding of several new contracts and projects, our client, a well know contractor operating within the Rail Industry is seeking to employ a Project Manager to be based in their Rail office in Surrey working on a variety of Projects. The client undertakes a variety of work within the rail industry, mainly civil engineering biased projects, such as bridge refurbishments and replacements, tunnels, station refurbishments, platform extension and similar lineside civil engineering works. It is essential that you will have a strong background in Project Management, gained whilst working within the rail industry, ideally whilst working for a major contractor. You will be responsible for a variety of sites of various values throughout the South East and surrounding areas. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject and will ideally be chartered or working towards chartered status. It is essential that you are a capable man manager, with good leadership and communication skills, that is capable of building relationship on all levels. It is also essential that you will have a stable employment background in permanent employment, candidates that have moved roles with considerable frequency or who have worked on a freelance basis will not be considered for this role.
