Job Description
Department & how it relates to the role Strategic Sourcing is part of Contracts and Procurement which is responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of all works, goods and services for Network Rail, the commercial management of its contracts and supplier relationships and the physical supply chain which underpins our infrastructure projects. ‘Our vision is to be recognised as World Class in contracting and procurement by 2011 by internal customers, suppliers and external bodies’. The role of Project Manager (Change) is to be part of a change team driving the delivery of change and improvement initiatives taking place across the Contracts and Procurement community. About the role (External) Using your expertise as an experienced Project Manager you will be asked to deliver business change to agreed requirements including scope, time, cost and quality. Excellent inter-personal skills will prove to be beneficial as you will need to establish and manage cross-functional relationships to manage the production of project management plans for the change projects. You dont need to have experience of working within the rail industry - in fact, what will set you apart is your motivation and natural flair for working with people at all levels.
