Job Description
Role; A heavy bias towards technical knowledge over corporate knowledge and overall management for Fleet and Transport, Plant workshop and equipment. Management of team to produce and abide by accurate financial budgets focusing on cost savings. Build critical relationships with operations and site to deliver the best possible service. Role & Responsibilities; - Compliance to HSE processes and all tests/maintenance or repairs compliant to current legislative standards. - Compliance with ISO 9001 including legal and any other requirements, OHSAS 18001, and EMS 14001. - Be accountable for the performance of Equipment Manager, Plant Workshop Manager and related functions. - Deliver accurate budgets and forecasts. - Build and manage a team designed to meet business objectives. - Manage the PDR process and provide appropriate training and development for the team. - Provide team with legislation and new legislative developments. - Ensure that company fleet of vehicles both commercial and domestic are maintained to correct standard. - Deliver timely and accurate budgets and to seek out the most cost efficient products and processes. - To undertake duties when necessary to meet the variations in customer needs and business requirements. - Uphold safety initiatives such as TOFS (Time Out For Safety), DRRA (Daily Residual Risk Assessments), RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements) and all other safety principles and practices. - To ensure that all financial charges to operational business and client are accurate and delivered on time. - To ensure that all products sent out are fit for purpose and meet legislative inspections/checks. - To deliver ensure KPIs on OTIF, Inventory, Spend, Cost and Supplier Management are consistently being achieved. MUST HAVE: - Full knowledge of Transmission line lifting equipment and appliances - Electrical hydraulic and mechanical hydraulic plant equipment - Full knowledge of Communications equipment and applications. - Lifting equipment regulations - Fleet Management including winches, wiring machines and track vehicles. - Significant experience in a Senior Management position - Strategy design and implementation - Mechanical engineer degree or equivalent Project Resource Limited specialises in the supply of Civil Engineers and Rail professionals to the industry, in the West Midlands as well as the rest of the UK.
