We are looking for Predictive Services Technician for our Services Orbita Group, facility based in Derby
Your Role

Orbita is a services engineering team that leads research and technology utilisation in improving our fleet diagnostic and predictive fleet maintenance and operations practices. The team has a leading role in the development and introduction of knowledge management to Bombardier.

This six month fixed term contract is required to create and help with the implementation of knowledge management. You will be assisting particularly in deploying tools, processes and methods.

This role will focus specifically on our software systems management.
Your Challenges
•You will convert complex train data into actionable information
•Create Operational Release Documentation
•You will carry out verification and configuration management duties
•Having a sound knowledge of Systems and Software engineering methodologies is also of importance and the ability to work closely with engineers across functions is essential.
•You will interface with suppliers and assess system capabilities, providing support through the design process.
•You will be required to support the decisions for release of deliverables from the department to internal and external customers as applicable to your areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications

•Ideally you will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
•You will have an appreciation of engineering, knowledge management and / or computer science and software engineering
•You will have good interpersonal skills and be self-motivated
•You will be committed to working with/in a confidential environment and working with sensitive issues
•Ideally you will have good problem solving and analytical skills as well as creative ability
•You will have an excellent knowledge of IT systems.
