Job Description
An URGENT requirement has arisen for a Mechancial Design Engineer with experience in Designing Lifts and Escalators and able to manage design processes. Essentials: Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering Designing of Mechanical Systems and Components for Lifts and Escalators Experience in use of Microstation and CAD Knowledge & understanding of identifying failures in designs The role will see you designing component parts and mechanical systems for lifts and escalators within an underground rail station environment (rail experience not essential). Typical aspects will include reviewing/designing general arrangements, hinge panels, reviewing schematic diagrams and component design. You will be requried to work flexible shifts (some nights and weekends) as you will be required to respond quickly to failures and stoppages.
