For further information on Bombardier please visit our website. We are looking for a Materials Controller for our East Ham Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a constant and reliable supply of materials for the Project. Challenges Regular Material classification review. Material ordering & re-ordering MRP (Product & non-product) inline with appropriate specified Process Receiving Inventory inline with specified Process Issuing stock inline with specified Process Processing of rotables (repairable items) Ensure materials are processed and controlled in accordance with the relevant Quality and Environmental Standards to include: Quarantine, Processing rejections/ non-conformity and Shelf life. Monitor stock movement & behavior Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure stock demands are successfully met Expedite internal & external suppliers Ensure regular Perpetual stock audits are conducted and recorded/ investigate & resolve stock discrepancies Managing any SAP/ Maximo for material issues Producing daily information/ feedback to Materials Manager & Engineering & Production teams Ownership of Materials Management tools Supervision of Stores staff (Material handlers) where applicable Covering for Materials Manager when required Covering Stores Team leader when required Provide the relevant information / reports in a timely manner for the Project Governance process . Considerations The role will require that the incumbent adopts a flexible approach to working hours as the operations run for 24 hours. The role can potentially involve physical elements when working / covering the stores areas Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications Good knowledge of material supply chain. Competent in excel/word software packages. Good knowledge of Maximo / SAP is essential The successful applicant will have a proven track record in materials co-ordination, procurement, expediting and Stores control systems (5s, VSM, visual Management and PI) fully versed in the use of SAP VCM. Jobholder must hold a minimum of G.C.S.E (or equivalent) grade C in English and Mathematics. related qualification in Materials would be an advantage. Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and SAP.
