We are looking for Materials, Planning & Logistics Manager for our Services facility based in Crewe
Your Role

You will plan and co-ordinate all activities for the Materials, Planning & Logistics (MP&L) function for the start up and completion of current and potential contracts, in line with the Master Production Schedule and Production requirements meeting strict cost and quality objectives. You will also ensure all staff are properly trained and motivated to accomplish these programmes.

Your Challenges
· Responsible for ensuring that the Material Planning, Inventory Control, Stores and Material Feed teams are appropriately organised, resourced and directed to meet the requirements of the Business
· Development of and adherence to Departmental budgets and schedules meeting the productivity targets and delivering any Continuous Improvement savings
· To create, document, maintain and improve appropriate business processes to support all MP&L responsibilities
· Attend/Chair the various meetings for the Business Unit and MP&L function
· Co-ordinate the Business Unit Strategic Plan, loading and trading information between the operations departments and the other sites and Business Units

Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications

· Ideally you will be qualified to degree level or equivalent
· Business process development/improvement skills
· Experience within Production Planning & Scheduling, ideally in a maintenance, repair or overhaul environment
· Knowledge of Production Planning & Scheduling, Inventory Management and Supervision principles and concepts
· Knowledge of current business computer systems
· Experience in Senior Management or related post
· Ideally Six Sigma Analyst 1 or above preferred
· Setting budget for MP&L function
· Authorisation of stock check write off/write on
