Job Description
Department & how it relates to the role Government and Corporate Affairs (G&CA) is responsible for the professional and consistent management of all internal and external stakeholder relationships in order to deliver an improved reputation for Network Rail. This includes communication with all employees, national and local government, the media, external liaison with our line side neighbours and Network Rail’s members. The function is also responsible for managing the brand and visual image of Network Rail. The teams within G&CA work to develop trust and understanding with stakeholders, using effective channels of communications to build positive relationships. About the role (External) The Marketing Executive role at Network Rail provides a real opportunity for first or second jobbers to really give their marketing credentials a boost. There’s always the need to refine some of the basics; from writing contact reports from meetings, completing weekly reports, keeping on-line databases up-to-date, responding to ad hoc business enquiries and generally helping keep the team and its outputs up-to-scratch. There’s the chance to work with some excellent creative agencies and to work with our research and web professionals, who both sit in the marketing team. Expect to get involved in live event management, exhibitions and roadshows, video production, advertising campaigns, brand development and internal communications strategies across a number of key business areas. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and possibly have a professional marketing qualification. All three existing marketing executives either have or are studying for CIM. You will have excellent inter-personal skills, be a great team player and have a desire to succeed in all you do.
