Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring delivery of the Transportation Service Plan (TSP). Works in coordination with Transportation and Service Reliability group in order to develop operational strategies that help to control and reduce operational costs. Responsible for scheduling integrity in MCS and generating analysis to support decision making. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance) or commensurate experience EXPERIENCE: * Previous experience in operating realms required in order to interpret and disperse data to customers. * Systems design and user acceptance testing * 1 year railroad experience preferred. SKILLS: * Excellent computer skills (MS Office suite and business objects) * Strong oral and written communication skills * Solid relationship building and interpersonal skills at all levels; able to influence clients * Excellent project management and organization skills * Strong statistical and analytical skills and financial acumen JOB DUTIES: * Responsible for administering the Transportation Service Plan and maintain optimal utilization of resources by generating proposals of improvement (Network wise). * Foster strong relationship with Transportation team in order to implement operational strategies. * Responsible for maintaining scheduling integrity in MCS (Strategic Trains and Blocking data) * Coordinate with other RR´s in order to establish operational agreements which generate value into the logistic chain. * Responsible for conducting sophisticated data modeling and trending in support of presenting facts and data for strategic planning purposes. * Coordinate and complete associated financial metrics, trends, and analysis related to train and terminal matters. * Help train customers on how to use and maximize KCS systems. * Manage ad-hoc business reporting requests upon request.
