POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the day-to-day administration of all office policies and procedures and serves as the liaison between the Mechanical Department and other departments (primarily HR, Finance and Purchasing).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* College degree or commensurate equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE:

* 3 or more years experience working with SAP and MCS preferred
* Prior payroll related experience preferred

SKILLS:

* Advanced computer skills including database (MCS specifically)
* Strong communication, organization, problem solving and analytical skills
* Business and financial acumen – big picture thinking
* Ability to understand FRA, OSHA and AAR rules
* Quantifiable track record in a high paced, results-oriented, work place.

JOB DUTIES:

* Responsible for the day-to-day administration and training of all office policies and procedures including supervision and maintenance of payroll.
* Completes time sensitive monthly reports including some low level analysis.
* Orders and coordinates new computers and equipment with IT.
* Review and audit expense reports for compliance prior to approval by GM.
* Coordinates locomotive and car AAR billing to foreign carriers.
* Supervises union personnel and assures compliance with FRA requirements. Makes recommendations to management for staffing and performance management actions.
* Promotes safety protocol and attends safety meetings.
* Assists with requisition and tracking of parts and maintenance in SAP.
