Job Summary:
Manages planning, resources, maintenance and safe and efficient execution of business fleet and events.
Provides special train schedules/profiles and transportation bulletins for CSX Business Car fleet, circus trains, special passenger trains and single car moves within the network. Ensures coordination as applicable for executive support.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
•Oversee planning, resources and safe and efficient execution of Business Car events-static, in-transit or field. Ensure plan in place for contract force needed to work events for successful outcome and all security protocols in place with regard to their access to CSX property. Coordinate with Network Operations, Mechanical, and short line operators as applicable to ensure appropriate operational procedures are followed for handling passenger equipment.
•Oversee checklist, communication and processes with customers requesting special equipment handling or moves. Provide clearance and qualifiers following mechanical inspections and ensure processes have been completed as regulated by rules and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) standards. Coordinate agreements (including insurance needs) with Legal and peers in other departments for single car moves and other special equipment moves and coordination.
•Ensure processes are in place for staffing, controls, procurement activity, on-board service (daily activity of vendors/contractors for interior/exterior food service, maintenance and catering) and productivity including comparison of events cost savings opportunities as well as maintain quality and inventory controls.
•Develop and plan for annual maintenance and capital improvements for fleet as well as manage and oversee budget.
•Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
•Associates degree from an accredited institution required in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain, Transportation/Logistics, Operations or related major field of study
•3 or more years of supervisory experience required in Mechanical, Operations, Logistics or the Hospitality industry
Equivalent Minimum Qualifications:
•High School diploma/GED required
•5 or more years of supervisory experience required in Mechanical, Operations, Logistics or the Hospitality industry
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to meeting the above qualifications, the following is preferred:
•Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
Knowledge and Skills:
•Knowledge of railroad operations
•Knowledge of CSX train operations, with a strong emphasis on communication, operating rule compliance, equipment handling rules, and train profiles/scheduling
•Leadership ability
•Knowledge of office car operations, specifically on-board food and beverage service, inspections, inventory and quality control
•Capital and budget skills
•Oral and written communication skills
•Knowledge of FRA regulations and operating rules
•CSX mainframe skills
•Microsoft Office skills
•Knowledge of ShipCSX tools
•Knowledge of hospitality industry and restaurant food service coordination for enhancing the overall sectors of on-board service and nutritional needs
•Ability to use management data to monitor operating performance, and to analyze situations for improvement and efficiencies
•Ability to interpret CSX Tariffs and properly coordinate moves of special equipment per CSX and FRA guidelines

Job Requirements:
•50% travel required.
•Wear protective equipment such as welding shields, hard hat, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, work boots, safety vest, face shield and safety glasses.
•Work hours may include on call 7 days a week, 24 hours per day, with extended periods of time away from home.
•Federal regulations require random testing for drugs and/or alcohol.
•The applicant selected for this position may be required to successfully complete a background check and physical including a drug test. Passing results must be received prior to start date in new position.

•Work inside an office environment.
•Work outside in all weather conditions.
•Work in confined spaces.
•Work with equipment that intensifies the heat factor.
•Work in shop and yard environments.
