Job Description
Role Description As a maintenance technician your role will see you organising and carrying out engineering examinations and maintenance of railway equipment in a busy freight yard. There is a healthy variety of maintenance activities which can be distinguished both electrically and mechanically. Mechanical works will include dealing with hydraulic & pneumatic systems, whilst the electrical will include AC DC Motor, Invertors & 3 phase systems. You will be servicing class 66/67 locomotives. Required Experience With good electrical and mechanical maintenance experience gained within the forces, manufacturing or plant machinery environment you will be keen to transfer into a new sector where full product training will be given to develop industry competence. Qualified to NVQ III or apprentice trained you will be a team player and flexible to work shifts as required.
