For further information on Bombardier please visit our website. We are looking for a Legal Advisor with litigation experience to join our Services Division legal team in Derby. Your Role You will be responsible for litigation, bids and contracts in the UK Services Division, providing advice relating to legal and contractual matters associated with our customers and suppliers and ensuring that commercial contractual risks are assessed, monitored and mitigated. Your Challenges Advising on disputes arising with customers and suppliers Prosecuting and defending claims Providing ongoing assistance to supply management, project management and engineering in relation to issues arising. Instruction of external solicitors and counsel in relation to litigation and commercial issues arising. Preparation and conduct of arbitrations Preparation of terms and conditions for bids and tenders involving liaison wwith Sales and Marketing, Project Management, Engineering and Supply Management functions Drafting terms and conditions of contracts with customers and suppliers Involvement in contractual negotiations with customers and suppliers Preparing legal framework and individual support and negotiation on licence agreements, consortium agreements, shareholders and joint venture agreements etc. Advising on relevant legal and commercial matters related to credits, bonds, sureties, parent guarantees, comfort letters, insurance, IPR and tax matters Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications UK Legal qualification. Litigation experience exssential Contract law experience Detailed negotiations experience and analytical skills Some relevant post qualification expertize of advising on large scale commercial contracts is required. Experience in a similar industry is beneficial but not essential. Computer skills required: Should be proficient in standard MS Office packages. Must have the ability to work in a team and demonstrate unquestionable integrity. Good communication and influencing skills are essential. Fluency in another European/Asian language would be an advantage.
