Job Description Our client, a leading specialist contractor operating within the rail industry is seeking to employ a Lead Power Engineer to be based in either their Birmingham or York offices (however the initial 2 to 3 months will be based in Birmingham). The purpose of the role is to enhance the technical capability of the company within the Electrical Engineering field. Responsibilities To provide electrical & power technical support to SSL Support internal and external technical investigations. Monitor SSL contracts involving electric & power ensuring they are technically compliant Produce regular reports on the power project scope performance. Attend networking meetings with other partner and with external companies. Carry out risk assessments. Support regular technical / safety briefing of all relevant staff Support the review new/altered electric and power documents to consider impact on the business Assist the management team in making strategic decisions for the signalling & telecoms business. Manage delivery of work package design, implementation, testing and Commissioning You will be degree educated or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, C&G 2382 and 2391, with PTS and/orST1. You will have experience of working in Electrical design, testing and installation, with managerial experience. You will also be a member of IET or working towards CEng/IEng. It is also essential that you will have an in depth knowledge of railway construction methods and materials used.
