For our Transportation Systems Division working out of our Derby or Berlin offices, we are currently recruit a Bid Manager The Role As the bid lead he/she will work close with Sales and be responsible to develop a winning bid. As Bid Manager he/she has a strong character, is team oriented and capable to lead a multicultural team to develop proposals within time and budget. He/she will be responsible to build the bid team, manage interfaces, control the bid budget and any other aspect of the proposal development. He/she will together with the bid team develop further improvements of the bid process. Your key Tasks & Responsibilities · Define bid strategy with Sales and core team and organize required resources for proposal development · Manage required bid activities of the various Systems department, such as Sales, PM, Quality, AE, Safety, O&M, PI, etc. and control bid budget · Negotiations with clients, partners, during pre-qualification, bid, bafo and financial close phases. · Negotiations, in liaison with the procurement function, with the supply chain of systems such as PD&S, track work, AFC, Depot Equipment and Communications. · Participation in the required bid reviews and Blue Book reviews Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications For this role, the successful candidate should offer the following: · University degree in Business Management or Engineering · 5+ years experience in this field of expertise · Detailed knowledge of multi-national complex systems projects, both TKC and P3 contract arrangements. · Knowledge of vehicles, PS & D, Depot Equipment, Trackwork, Signalling & Comms, AFC systems. · Understanding of project phases including Design, procurement, installation and commissioning and ongoing maintenance. · Experience of (Bombardier) Project Management and Bid Processes. Your personal skills · Good leadership skills, Strong personality to meet objectives · Fluency in English is a must, German, French and/ or any other language would be great · Traveling required
