Job Description
Description Job Summary: Provides quotes and executes orders for the door-to-door sales group in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ensures the financial goals of CSX intermodal are met while building customer loyalty. Ensures the operating needs, safety, and security goals of CSX intermodal are met, while fairly and factually communicating the operating abilities of CSX intermodal to our customers. Primary Activities and Responsibilities: •Develop and provide quotes on a load-by-load basis utilizing the proper systems and controls to ensure our operating capabilities are taken into account and that the financial goals of the company are met. •Enter orders for contracted moves, ensuring accuracy and our ability to meet customer needs. •Stay in tune with current market conditions to understand when we are able to extract extra value for the service we provide. •Review work on a regular basis to ensure continued accuracy and controls. •Participate in process review meetings and help to identify trends and process improvement opportunities. •Work collaboratively, both internal and externally, to ensure that we sell what we can deliver and we deliver what we sell. •Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: •High School diploma/GED required •2-11 months of experience required in Transportation, Logistics, or Rail Operations Knowledge and Skills: •Microsoft Office skills •Railroad industry knowledge Competencies: The CSX Competency Framework is the foundation of our Talent Strategy and is what drives CSX performance.
