Brief Vacancy Description In order to achieve the level of reliability that our customers demand and deserve, our newly-established Infrastructure Maintenance function that employs 15,000 across 40 delivery units, will play a major role in delivering our vision of engineering and operating excellence for Britain’s railway. Our in-house maintenance organisation works as one single team maintaining signalling, track, and electrification using standardised, efficient processes that are committed to the achievement of our corporate goals. Detailed External Job Description In this role you’ll work within the Off Track maintenance teams for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link High Speed railway operating between London St. Pancras and the Eurostar Folkestone Terminal. This high speed line currently caters for Continental [Eurostar] and Domestic [SE Trains] high speed train services. Services are managed in-house and with sub-contractors to include landscaping development and maintenance [approximately 1200 acres] , minor Civils works including drainage, structural repairs, access assets including man safe systems, signage, pest control, impacts of anti social crime including graffiti and fly tipping, security liaison and fencing maintenance and enhancement, tree surgery, paving works etc. . The team also operate within possessions to manage vegetation control and facilitate minor Civils works. You’ll provide administration support for planned and unplanned works and to record on the company asset database. You’ll raise, monitor and close out Work Orders and track programme and backlog. You’ll manage departmental competencies, PPE, fleet vehicles and material requisitions for procurement. Off Track budgets must be tracked and you will need to be numerate, have a strong eye for detail and be able to communication with clarity, speed and efficiently at all levels. There will be a need for site visits to check planned works and assist with work tasking. Inter-departmental liaison is required to assist with the aims and objectives of the group.
