Job Description
Job Description Our client, a leading contractor within the rail industry, is seeking to employ an Engineering Manager to be based in the Lanarkshire region of Scotland. You will be initially working on a major rail project on the Paisley Corridor, as such it is essential that you will have previous considerable experience of working on major engineering projects within the rail industry for a major contractor. You will be responsible for the effective management of Design/Engineering resources along with effective project management control. You will also provide technical guidance and input on projects and tenders, identify training needs, represent the company on a technical basis and contribute to the business development of the company. You will be a chartered Engineer with post chartered experience in one or more associated rail disciplines, as well as having proven managerial skills and be able to effectively delegate as and when required. It is essential that you are a capable and effective communicator at all levels, with a client focused approach to your working. It would be advantageous to have experience in both consultancy and contracting and/or design and build projects with experience of working on multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure projects.
