Job Description
Role Description As a maintenance technician your role will see you organising and carrying out engineering examinations and maintenance of locomotives in a busy freight yard. Maintenance activities can be broken down into routine electrical and mechanical service checks to ensure train safety through to complex fault diagnosis and modifications. The maintenance technician role is the route to supervisory and higher management roles for the correct individual. Required Experience With good electrical and mechanical maintenance experience gained within the forces, rail, manufacturing or plant machinery environment you will be keen to transfer into a new sector where full product training will be given to develop industry competence. Qualified to NVQ III or apprentice trained within electrical maintenance, you will be a team player and flexible to work shifts as required. Benefits Package Basic salary + the regular overtime that is available results in earnings in excess of £30,000 per annum.
