Brief Vacancy Description

Human Resources (HR) provides support on all people-related issues for Network Rail. We’re responsible for creating an environment that attracts and engages high-performing individuals to deliver engineering and operational excellence for Britain’s railway. Reporting to the Head of HR you’ll ensure our approach is a pragmatic one, challenging where appropriate and professional in all areas of delivery.

This position reports into the HR Policy Advisor within the Director, HR Performance team. This is made up of a number of specialist teams: Leadership Development, HR Programmes, Reward and Benefits, Pensions and Resourcing, with whom the job holder will mainly interact.

Detailed External Job Description

This a new role, reporting to the HR Policy Adviser, created to help establish and then maintain effective document control processes for HR policies, procedures and any associated documents. The job holder will also assist the HR Policy Adviser to forward plan for ongoing review of documentation and review in response to legislation changes.

Applicants must have relevant experience of document control processes and techniques, together with advanced use of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of library principles and being able to use desktop publishing software would be useful.

· IT literacy and competency in programmes such as MS Office and Excel?
