For further information on Bombardier please visit our website. We are looking for a Design Engineer (Mechanical/ CAD) for our Rail Control Solutions (RCS) Division, based in Plymouth. Position Summary: In this role you will develop product and systems design for safety-critical railway signaling and telemetry products. Specific objectives: Design and development of product enclosures Design and development of systems constructed from electronic sub-assemblies Support existing product enclosures and systems through obsolescence management and process changes Produce detail design documentation Produce / modify CAD drawings for other team members Maintain CAD systems Qualifications You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline (e.g. computer aided engineering, mechanical engineering, system engineering) You will have working knowledge of a range of CAD systems. Ideally two or more from Microstation, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Ideas In additional you will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work accurately under minimal supervision Project management experience would be a strong advantage
