To support our development, we are looking for an: POSITION TITLE: Deployment Specialist (Hardware) JOB TYPE: Temporary Assignment, until April 2011 REPORTS TO: Program Director LOCATION: Toronto Key Functions The GTAFS Deployment Site/Technical Engineer (Hardware) assists the Site Manager in all installation activities related to bus/station as necessary, and in particular is responsible for ensuring that Thales e-Ticketing devices are installed successfully using best of breed systems engineering standards and practices. If necessary he will also investigate problems and correct them. -Assist and support supervision of the sub-contractor(s) bus/station installation studies -Assist and support supervision of the sub-contractor installation performances (quality and punctuality) -Assist and perform on site the acceptance tests activities with Customer (Accenture / Service Providers) -Support management of the bus/station installation device configuration -Responsible for the consistency and accuracy of installation data. -Ensure interface with Technical Teams (Engineering & Customer Support) and Logistics in Brétigny Basic Skill Level Requirements - A suitable degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering - Knowledge in cabling, networking, mechanical design and implementation - Background in Customer Support - Ability to establish good working relationships and credibility with the Customer. - Good communication skills at all levels - Methodical skills - Ability to influence and negotiate on technical issues (with internal as well as external customers) - Willing to tackle performance issues within project teams. - Must have energy and enthusiasm with the willingness to share information and knowledge in a positive way
