Finance Shared Services is responsible for all transaction processing that supports the financial and business activities of the company. The National Payables Team is responsible for handling all invoices received for payment by Network Rail.

Brief Vacancy Description

Responsible for the sorting of opened post for Finance Shared Services Accounts Payable, from receipt through to data extraction, on a daily basis. Accurately scan all invoices in a timely manner.

Detailed External Job Description

You will:

Sort the incoming post, batching all invoices / certificates for scanning and data capture in accordance with laid down Work Instructions.

Scan all invoices / certificates to required data quality standards and to carry out compliance testing once scanning is complete, in accordance with the Work Instructions.

Oversee and compliance test the ‘Invoices Returned to Supplier’ workflow.

Maintain a professional archiving system for documents, to the standards required to meet Network Rail Group Policy and Regulation, together with HMRC, Corporation Tax and other statutory and regulatory requirements.

Provide input and feedback within the Accounts Payable team to enable the Work Instructions to reflect good practice on an on-going basis.
Provide support to the Accounting Data Integrity Assistants as required.
Undertake ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities as required.
Provide support to continuously improve the key end to end processes used in your team.
