POSITION: Data Conversion Lead DEPARTMENT: Information Technology LOCATION: Wilmington, DE SALARY: USD 80,000 - USD 102,000 POSITION NO.: 90108554 INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL APPLICANTS DUTIES: This position will be part of the SAM Technical team, and responsible for the data identification, mapping, conversion, cleanliness and timeliness. This individual will define, plan, and implement of data quality policies and procedures for the SAM Program. Directly responsible to oversee and deliver a conversion strategy, implementation, and execution across all SAM business processes. EDUCATION: Must have a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience. Prefer Masters Degree in related discipline; PMP Certification. WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have experience with data conversion from legacy systems to integrated enterprise applications (preferably SAP); experience with data cleansing and transformation tools. Prior satisfactory job performance is required. PREFERRED: Demonstrated experience in data management, including data modeling; strong functional knowledge of one or more of the SAM- relevant business areas. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Understand relevant business requirements and rules, and ensure that data is fit and meets the needs of the business. COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly effective team player who enjoys working across any organizational lines and levels. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Progressive supervisory responsibilities. TRAVEL: 40% COMMENTS: Perform statistical sampling for quality measures and design, implement and maintain a data quality scorecard. Evaluate, plan, and manage data cleansing and data conversion efforts. Establish Master Data Management requirements, and work with the SAM Technical Team to ensure that enterprise data is consistent across the SAM environment and between SAM and other Amtrak application environments. Work closely with subject matter experts to perform quality control and quality improvements through initial and continuously monitoring with corrective action as needed. Understand relevant business requirements and rules, and ensure that data is fit and meets the needs of the business.
