Finance Shared Services is responsible for all transaction processing that supports the financial and business activities of the company. The Receivables department is responsible for raising invoices, credit control and cash management. Brief Vacancy Description Facilitate prompt payment from customers in accordance with company procedures. Detailed External Job Description You will... Pursue all outstanding debt relating to sales ledger invoices on a portfolio basis. Maintain procedures and internal checks in the review of aged debtors to facilitate the recovery of overdue debt, minimising bad debt provision. Apply checks on new customers/tenants to establish credit ratings and review and update the credit profiles as requested. Update the credit profiles for tenants on the property management system. Support the Senior Credit Controller in reviewing key customer/tenant accounts to establish payment patterns and work with the business to manage customer accounts and resolve disputed items. Adopt credit control procedures, including the production and validation of customer statements and dunning letters. Escalate, where necessary, recovery of overdue debt to Legal Services. Support the Senior Credit Controller with the submission of claims in respect of liquidations and receiverships. Support in preparing documentation recommending write off of bad debts. Proactively prepare the necessary evidence and documentation to support the resolution or negotiation of customer accounts that are in dispute. Provide detailed information to support cash flow forecasts. Provide support in the production of detailed statistics on all debtor KPIs. Where appropriate, assign incoming payments to customer accounts. Provide support to continuously improve the key end to end processes used in your team. Do you have…? · Part qualified membership of Credit Control Qualification (ICM or equivalent) or possession of sufficient experience/skills to fulfil the requirements of the role without membership of the relevant professional body · Experience in a sales ledger or customer focused environment · Relevant experience within a large finance function · Oracle and REID experience (desirable) · Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant law (desirable)
