Job Description Our client, a leading contractor operating within the rail industry is seeking to employ a Contracts Manager to be based from their Surrey office working within their Rail Division. Your role will be to ensure the successful project delivery and maximisation of margins through the delivery of contracts in a safe manner, on time and within budget. It will be your responsibility to ensure that Project Delivery Teams are fully appraised of the contract parameters and have the capability and resources necessary to achieve contract objectives. You will develop positive relationships with all parties associated with the contract. You will be responsible for the delivery of multiple contracts and continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure that contract objectives are being met. You will also provide formal reports on these contracts and identify business development opportunities. It is essential that you will have experience of successfully leading project delivery teams and will be degree qualified (or equivalent) with extensive experience in successfully delivering civil engineering projects ranging from ?250k to ?5m. Rail experience would be an advantage but is not essential, experience of design and construction is essential as is experience in bridges/structures/earthworks/drainage/stations etc. This position would be ideal for someone running a business unit, you would be expected to be able to show how you could run a business unit and how you would strategically expand it.
