Job Description
Descripiton: Chief SHE With over USD 200bn being invested into India’s rail infrastructure over the next 10 years, we are actively recruiting for this major construction manager a Chief SHE specialist for a major new metro project based in central India. The main role of the Chief SHE is to ensure that the contractors are implementing their safety programmes, review contractor SHE programmes and site inspections. The Chief SHE will be an expert who will be hands on, mainly on site, making sure the contractors are ensuring safety on work sites. The Chief SHE specialists, does not have a specific safety team and the overall client expects that the site inspectors for civil works also handle the safety aspects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within a Senior Safety Health & Environmental (SHE) role either as a Senior Manager / Director specifically to the rail construction industry. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of safety on Underground / Tunneling works would be highly advantageous. You will be degree qualified and have professional recognised accreditations. As this is a senior role you can expect an attractive salary (USD), plus full Ex Pat package (single or family status)
