Job Description
Job Description Our client is a major partner working on the UK?s largest Civil / Rail and Infrastructure project currently being undertaken. They are looking to add to their team and require a CAD / GIS Engineer t to provide quality CAD/GIS support for deliverables within timescales stipulated for this project. In addition, you will be responsible for Assisting in conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposals. Performing calculations and basic preliminary analyses. Checking manufacturers? drawings and data for compliance with specifications Reviewing design, drawings, specifications and technical reports for projects under design and evaluate overall constructability and maintainability. Conducting shop drawing reviews which include: details and calculations pertaining to size, details and layout; adequacy of materials, connections, weld certifications, test procedures and results. Making determinations as to conformance with codes and other established standards, guidelines and necessary coordination with affected engineering disciplines. Assisting in detailed development of established design concepts. Preparing or assisting in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals. Preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and/or assists in developing or reviews discipline material quantity estimates. Participating in preparation of material requisitions, specifications and other related procurement documents.
