Job Description
My Client is seeking a Bid Writer with specific knowledge and experience in the field of Civil Engineering. This is a role that will see you liaising with the bid team (estimators, commercial, planners etc) and project staff in order to interpret civil and construction methodologies, specifically in the rail industry, and incorporate into technical bids/submissions. The individual will have a civil engineering background, preferably qualified and have sound understanding of construction techniques in order to be able to accurately and articulately translate into bids and tenders for the likes of Network Rail, LUL and other clients. Ideally you will have come from a site based background, working for a main contractor on projects up to £10m. This role can be flexible in that you may be required to work full time, but also have the allowance to work less (3 days per week) should your circumstances require it. The client is a successful rail civil engineering main contractor that values its reputation for high quality project works. Typical works undertaken include: station builds/refurbs, platform extensions, canopy works, bridge strengthening/replacements and the like.
