Job Description
Job Description Assistant Commercial Manager required on a contract basis for 9-12 months duration to work for our rail infrastructure client and be based out of their North Yorkshire offices. Job Description: Pre-Contract, you will need to be an effective and proven negotiator, together with knowledge of procurement and relevant EU Utilities Regulations. You will undertake the preparation and evaluation of tender documents and negotiation of contracts. Post Contract, you will assist the project delivery team by advising on contract changes and recommending appropriate action to mitigate commercial risk to our client. You will provide cost reporting and lead the assessment and valuation of applications in accordance with our clients processes, and commensurate with contractual entitlement. Essential -Proven experience in a similar commercial position -Educated to degree level in quantity surveying or related field -Experience in report writing and numerical data manipulation -General experience in delivering oral presentations -MS Office i.e. at least intermediate Excel and Word skills Desirable -Knowledge of basic estimating, valuation and cost reporting, financial modelling -Negotiation skills -MS Project & PowerPoint
